Birmingham Police Inspector Ellie Bird is given a CP 2020 course 2005 which includes spending a week with "some of Europe's foremost economists, entrepreneurs and scientists from 13 to 17 June". Her training included a talk by Dr Hans Reckers, Board Member of German banking giant Deutsche Bank. Why do we want British Police officers briefed by European economists, bankers or other similar 'experts'? How does this help Ellie Bird catch criminals and uphold the law?

Note blacked out information before release by the police. The public are fully entitled to ask about police expenditure on CP, and CP has no right to block this process. Note also that CP stress that information held by Advisory Group members is a matter for their own personal records.
