Julia Middleton CP CEO writes to Information Commissioners Office

In letter dated 23 October 2009 Julia Middleton writes to the Information Commissioner to explain breaches of the Data Protection Act, in particular relating to Common Purpose compiling a 'black list' of concerned members of the public who had submitted Freedom of Information requests...not to Common Purpose but to their Local Authorities asking for information on CP. The letter should be read carefully for what it does and does not say.

Caroline Duckworth Common Purpose 'spins' truth regarding BBC Radio 5 programme.

Caroline Duckworth Common Purpose emails CP Advisory Group members to report that the BBC Radio 5 Donal MacIntyre programme has 'vindicated' CP of criticism from the public, including that it is a secretive organisation. Mrs Duckworth fails to inform the Advisory Group Members (whose names are kept secret from the General Public!), that the BBC are riddled with CP graduates, and therefore will inevitably produce a pro Common Purpose political spin. Julia Middleton Chief Executive Common Purpose speaks about the need for people to stand up and be counted. Easy for Julia, who earns an estimated £80,000 - 90,000 per year from her charity.....mostly funded by the taxes of those people whom she criticises for inactivity. They are of course, too busy working to feed and educate their families, and have little spare time to help Mrs Middleton 'change the world'. Julia is very good at speaking and advising but has not actually led, managed or run any real business or organisation delivering tangible results for the people of Great Britain.

Julia Middleton Chief Executive of Common Purpose gave her views to the South West Regional Development Agency on those asking "What is the legitimacy of Common Purpose? "There was this little jerk in the corner" ..... and we all said "shut up" and we kept on going..... Nice lady, particularly when the question over the legitimacy of Common Purpose and its meetings under the Chatham House rule is very important. A brutish, unpleasant response to the concerns of a member of the public by the elitest Mrs Middleton.

CP Exec Middleton and Amelia Sussman brief a Parliamentary Committee on Public Appointments. The ladies share their vast knowledge gained from Common Purpose graduates, who are of course, all selected in the first place. The examination gives an idea of the power, and place in the halls of power, of Mrs Middleton. Mrs Middleton is now helping to protect the impartiality of the UK media by her "Media Standards Trust", where she also shares the Board with international bankers, as well as the rich and powerful. Elitest or what?
