CP Accounts Analysis 2007 (28/02/2010)

UK

Analysis of Common Purpose accounts 2007 including profit and loss, balance sheet, capitals and reserves, miscellaneous and ratios. Please remember that the overwhelming supply of money to Common Purpose has come straight from your pocket as a taxpayer. Did you know about this political charity or approve of their politico social agenda?

CP ON THE SCROUNGE - AGAIN (12/10/2008)

Edinburgh

Template Letter Asking Local Authorites To Fund Marketing Campaign.

Millennium Commission gives Common Purpose £940,435 (23/09/2008)

UK

The Millennium Commission has awarded Common Purpose £940,435 for 321 CP awards, yet thousands of small village halls and real charities have received nothing. Why is the Millennium Commission so keen to support a political charity? Are there connections between people in the Millennium Commission and CP. Please help us to find out who and why. Thank you "duck" for sending us the detail.

Sheffield Chief Exec Refuses to release CP Expenditure 1 Sep 2008 (02/09/2008)

Sheffield

Series of letters showing yet another example of a major authority, Sheffield, refusing to release expenditure on Common Purpose. A Freedom of Information request is refused by Liz Bashforth Assistant Chief Executive Sheffield Legal and Governance. Records of CP expenditure are too scattered to be able to locate them within a sensible time frame. The truth is that Sheffield does not want this expenditure released. This pattern of refusal is repeated across the country, and is now assisted by Common Purpose using their graduates within Councils. Such action has resulted in breaches of Data Protection in some authorities. Why is Sheffield not proud to declare its expenditure of your money on this wonderful charity?

CP Plymouth City Council Expenditure 2005 (31/08/2008)

Plymouth

Exchange of letters in 2005 where member of the public tries to obtain details of Common Purpose training and expenditure by Plymouth City Council. No detail of the expenditure of public money is obtained. The Council gives a vague expenditure of £53,700. Key quote by Corporate lawyer “Given that much of the support that has and continues to be provided to the (CP) programme by way of speaker’s time by way of participation at workshop sessions, allied to the fact that I have no historic record of who has attended, other than the two I have advised of, I AM UNABLE TO PROVIDE FIGURES”. Therefore Plymouth City Council cannot account for monies spent on CP, yet admits that officers support the course in public time - contrary to the repeated claims of Common Purpose - that participation is by a ‘private’ individual in their private time. Why does CP lie?

CP Expenditure by Cornwall County Council to Jan 2006 (25/08/2008)

Cornwall

Cornwall County Council reply to Freedom of Information request. Note that their accounting system is so vague that they could only calculate a total figure and were not able to say how much had been spent on CP in schools. How much money goes missing or is misappropriated in a system where there are no detailed accounts of how public money is spent? Or is this a smokescreen to protect Common Purpose. The total amount of taxpayers money is: circa £67,000.

CP Government Office of the South West GOSW Staff CP trained and expenditure (20/08/2008)

Plymouth

GOSW expenditure 2005 on CP training. £60,120 of taxpayers money spent by another pro EU quango.

CP Defence Logistics Organisation(DLO) Expenditure 2005 (20/08/2008)

Plymouth

DLO spends £37,00o on CP training. Yet CP operates under the Chatham House Rule of secrecy for meetings. How does this pass the Official Secrets Act? Note the Naval Base Commander (Senior Officer of a nuclear naval base) is a member of the Common Purpose Advisory Group which will select and reject new candidates for CP.

CP Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) expenditure 2005 (20/08/2008)

London

Having declared they had no involvement with CP in a telephone conversation, the ODPM declares in 2005 £78,000 spent on CP. Note the letter repeats CP promotional literature and dismisses the use of the secretive Chatham House rule for meetings. Conveniently connections with DEMOS apparently occurred prior to the set up of the ODPM. The CP role of ODPM has now been taken over by the Communities and Local Government department, which has made CP a "government approved training organisation" alongside the TAVISTOCK INSTITUTE. See archive material on CP training within Communities and Local Government where Julia Middleton CP Chief Executive signs emails "love Julia".

CP takes £3000 course funding from Maidenhead Leisure Centre (18/08/2008)

Maidenhead

Email exchange showing CP taking £3000 course fee from local leisure centre, together with discussion of internal budgets and allocations.

CP Communities and Local Government Expenditure (18/08/2008)

London

Communities and Local Government spends £99,350 on CO in 2006/7 alone. CP is now a "government approved" leadership training provider. Here they work to set up new contracts within the Muslim communities. (NB Muslim communities are also investigating the activities of CP and provide information to this site). In dealing with the Communities department to arrange her funding, Julia Middleton CP Chief executive signs her emails to Mark Carroll 'Love Julia'. A real love affair or a cosy relationship?

CP Communities and Local Government CP funding for Immams and women (18/08/2008)

London

CP arranging government funding for a new course involving Immams and Muslim Women. NB Julia Middleton signs her email to Mr Mark Carroll "Love Julia". This is highly inappropriate for a business transaction and suggests a very cosy relationship, particularly where public funds are concerned.

CP Ministry of Defence Expenditure (18/08/2008)

London

Ministry of Defence admits to spending at least £308,500 on CP training. This does not include benefits in kind such as provision of meals, venues and supporting MOD and military staff.

CP Communities and Local Govt Annual CP funding (18/08/2008)

London

Communities and Local Government funding 2004 2006 inc. £307,000 with massive increase in spending in 2006. How did our Local Government function before Common Purpose Leaders?

CP organising its funding though Leeds City Council and Education Leeds (10/08/2008)

Leeds

letter dated 20 July 2005 where Rosie Cottrell CP is organising a future funding stream from Leeds City Council Performance Support Services Manager and Education leeds. CP funding totalling £45,000 is casually being taken from the public purse. The taxpaying public is generally totally unaware that public money is being abused in this way. Documents show that many public authorities, and even the police, are often unable to fully account for money paid to CP. Many public authorities have tried, and are trying to delay releasing their expenditure on Common Purpose, even when legitimately asked under Freedom of Information. Why are they so secretive of their involvement with a wonderful training charity? Transparency is not one of CP's attributes.

CP Devon Schools expenditure on CP (22/07/2008)

Devon

Freedom of information response showing Devon County Council CP expenditure.
