Un Common Purpose as Telegraph Wakes Up (12/02/2010)
UK
John Mitchell from the Telegraph is awake and seeing the real picture.... "After a month’s absence, cpexposed.com is back. When Common Purpose, a political ‘charity’ and leadership development organisation operating internationally from the UK, successfully demanded that a US hosting service take the site down, it was hardly an issue of public concern. After all, it was only a website, only a charity. And yet, if a better-known charity such as the RSPCA had sought to silence an awkward animal rights group on grounds of copyright infringement, might the news coverage and reaction have been different?
Interestingly, not only opposition material has been removed; at least one Police ‘statement of common purpose’ has vanished, as has a paper on education from Common Purpose’s own site. Have these people something to hide? Search My Telegraph" Please read Mr Mitchell's full article in the pdf. Good work Sir.Analysis of the Media Standards Trust including Common Purpose (29/08/2009)
UK
Thanks to http://pinkindustry.wordpress.com/media-standards-trust/ an excellent analysis of the elitest matrix that is the Media Standards Trust. Run from within Common Purpose this insidious organisation seeks to 'improve' media reporting. The elitest nature of the individuals concerned, their networks to major global corporation and big banks suggest that the aim is not to improve the openness of media but to control it. These people are self selected, unaccountable and super wealthy. Their works need to be exposed as soon as possible. The text covers several pages in great detail - please take the time to read it all. Just what are these people up to? Why is the political charity Common Purpose involved?
BBC spends massive £158,100 on Common Purpose training (28/08/2009)
UK
According to a Freedom of Information response the Brussels Broadcasting Company BBC has spent a massive £158,100 on Common Purpose training. According to the BBC this was to "assist senior editorial staff in building partnerships and developing knowledge, experience and contacts in their local area." They go on to say that " Staff who attended the course reported that it had been both a really useful learning / training experience and had also opened up a huge network of contacts."
It is surprising that the BBC stated previously, that BBC staff trained by Common Purpose such as Mr Harding (a member of the London Common Purpose Advisory Board), were involved with Common purpose in a "totally private capacity", which had "nothing to do with his position at the BBC."
So, it appears that the BBC spends £151,000 of licence payers' money for Common purpose training which benefits them in their private time. Does this sound like a lie, corruption, false accounting or massive incompetence?
Alternatively we know that key BBC employees such a Robert Peston are not only fully involved with Common purpose but are prepared to advertise their involvement and recommend Common Purpose using their BBC title. Mr Peston is of course also a member of the Media Standards Trust alongside none other than Julia Midleton CEO of Common Purpose.
Considering that Common Purpose is intimately and directly linked to NuLabour and political think tanks such as Demos, a detached third party observer might well get the impression that Common Purpose is a political training vehicle for the government. What do you think? Corruption?
Search on this site under BBC section for more information on Mr Harding.
CP spin on the BBC documentary A Secret Society (30/07/2009)
UK
A BBC web download of Ruth Alexander's comments on the Jonathan Maitland show, BBC Radio 5 live - A secret Society. This programme was supposed to be an 'investigation' by the BBC into Common Purpose. As expected of the BBC it was a sham.
Typically the BBC failed to declare it's interest as a major user of Common Purpose training and having a very large number of CP graduates within controlling positions in the BBC itself. Robert Peston was simply quoted as a supporter. The total cost of CP training has not been declared but fees are paid by the public TV licence payer so perhaps they have a right to know.
Early in the article the BBC quotes an unknown 'graduate' who of course claims the innocence of CP. It is so innocent of course he / she is too frightened to give their name in association....why?
Brian Gerrish is immediately branded as a campaigner, and no mention is made of the hundreds of documents, emails and other evidence of the huge cost of Common Purpose or its obvious political agenda he has assembled.
The body of the article follows a pattern. Common Purpose graduates say how innocent it all is....well, they would wouldn't they? To say otherwise would make them look ignorant (of the actual agenda) and or foolish for having got involved.
Statements on Common Purpose website ..."of being balanced and without allegiance" are simply accepted by the BBC as true. I restate no BBC investigation was conducted into documentation at any time although this was offered to them.
Helga Henry of Birmingham Arts denied an EU bias in training because she apparently didn't experience any. Again documentary evidence showing Common Purpose's pro EU bias was not discussed by the BBC - itself sucking off EU funding.
The BBC vaguely asks if large amounts of public money should be spent on the course, but completely neglects to ask any member of the public / taxpayer what they think about £millions being paid to this political charity. The BBC blurs the issue with its usual finesse.

Third Sector Magazine article 6 August 2008 (02/04/2009)
UK
Third Sector magazine article in which CP attempts to brand concerned members of the public as right wing and political. The article is clearly designed to promote CP as an upstanding charity and claims it is not political. "David Bell Common Purpose trustee denied that it [CP] had a pro-EU agenda.....this is simple not the case" he states. Why then are we able to show a wealth of pro EU literature for CP courses especially those aimed at children? Why are top level CP courses linked to the EU and top level EU officials? Why does Maria Wallis ex Chief Constable of Devon and Cornwall police and CP graduate claim that CP training helped her understand the EU levels of power. David Bell's comments are either made in ignorance or they are a complete fabrication of the truth. In the article CP also tries to make itself out as the innocent party whilst members of the public harass it with Freedom of Information requests. But it is perfectly lawful for the public to ask how much public bodies have spent on CP. Why are they do desperate to block the truth.....because the truth is that CP is a political charity.
CP BBC Merseyside Radio biased interview with Brian Gerrish (see full archive article) (02/04/2009)
Merseyside
So rattled is Common Purpose by the steady leak of information revealing its political agenda and huge fees taken from the taxpayer, that they have now apparently enlisted the BBC to manage their tawdry image. Brian Gerrish was recently invited to speak concerning CP on BBC Radio Mersyside on Friday 27 March 2009 after the Presenter Roger Phillips linked his name with the BNP. Mr Phillips claimed that he was only able to find material by Brian Gerrish on the BNP's website. This is despite the fact that a single entry of the name Brian Gerrish in Google produces hundreds of linked articles and talks. Brian complained at the BBC bias and was quickly invited onto the Friday lunchtime show apparently to star the local Liverpool Common Purpose Director Ken Pye.
On the day, and not surprisingly, Mr Pye was 'unable' to appear. This left Roger Phillips to attempt to discredit Brian Gerrish. Normal tactics were used including suggestions of 'conspiracy theory', BNP and claims that Common Purpose was 'suffering' under Freedom of Information requests from the public. But why was Mr Phillips so keen to defend and support Common Purpose?
Aside from the fact that hundreds of BBC senior staff have been Common Purpose trained at £3950 plus VAT each (see BBC and media Archive of this site), Mr Phillips is a regular participant in Liverpool Common Purpose net-working events, alongside none other than Mr Ken Pye. Using license payers money on air Mr Phillips was happy to make claims trying to highlight the honesty and probity of Common Purpose although he had no documents or evidence to support his claims. Phillips apparently made further supportive claims for Common purpose after Brian Gerrish had left the show. Is this what the BBC is for...Common Purpose advertising? Mr Phillips had also failed to look at any of the documentary evidence on this site. So the interview was again biased. Welcome to Common Purpose control of the media. The interview will be posted on this site shortly. See the BBC Media Archive section on cpexposed.com for a copy of a Phillips / Pye Common Purpose event.
Blog Comments on Common Purpose (01/02/2009)
UK
Summary of Blog Comments about Common Purpose which includes details of expenditure by large organisations. It is evident that more and more people are beginning to question CP and its real purpose. Keep asking and the truth will come out.
BBC Praise Common Purpose (12/10/2008)

BBC Praise Common Purpose
CP The Journal Promotional Article on Common Purpose 2004 (25/08/2008)
Newcastle
Typical article cum advert for CP in which the participants sing the praises. They mention aspects of the course as disturbing and highlight the lack of private sector involvement. The majority of CP course capacity is funded by the taxpayer, but authorities are reluctant to release details of expenditure. What are the tangible benefits for the taxpayer?
CP Insider Article CP and Freemasonry believed 2006 (25/08/2008)
Manchester
Article by Joanne Birtwistle apparently comparing CP to the Freemasons. The whole feel of this article suggests CP are defending themselves by trying to say they are not like the Freemasons, yet their mode of operation is very similar. You enter a room and the CP know how to identify each other but the rest of the public don't. CP graduates help each other win business and push through organisational and public authority agendas for CHANGE. They gang up against people who don't like their style. Ken Pye CP Programme Director fails to mention that people are SELECTED to become an elitest CP leader. Far from overflowing with graduates evidence is growing that CP is having to shut offices because it can't recruit the constant stream of candidates it needs to pay its bills. That is when they actually pay for offices of course. Peter Wheatley, the Senior Programme Manager from Greater Manchester is quite right when he says CP is not a membership organisation. If it were, they would have to declare themselves in public bodies. Instead they remain hidden from colleagues and the general public, and hold meetings under the secretive Chatham House rule. The network of graduates was not set up "as an extra service", it was there and encouraged from the start. As CP says "our networks will soon be very important". But CP is too secretive on public money to say why. "The trust is they will go and use it (CP) for good", says Wheatley. Afraid not Mr Wheatley the secretive network breeds corruption and favours.
CP Daily Echo Southampton Common Sense equates Common Purpose (24/08/2008)
Southampton
Press article from the Daily Echo Southampton where CP is recruiting. Suggestion is that Common Sense = Common Purpose. Nothing could be further from the truth. CP defies common sense in believing and suggesting that everyone is destined to be a chosen elite leader. It deludes people into thinking it is a charity for all when its membership is elitest and able to afford the elitest course fees.
CP BBC names (20/08/2008)
UK
The following list is a small sample of BBC CP trained people. These courses have been paid by the licence payer but the BBC then tries to say this is for the benefit of the individual in their personal time. Nice of the taxpayer to be so generous. The pro EU CP training may help to explain the BBC's pro EU and anti British stance. Remember that the BBC has also borrowed money from European Banks. Whoever pays the piper calls the tune.
CP BBC Freedom of Information request re Mr Harding 2007 (10/08/2008)
London
BBC reply to FOI request re Mr Harding who sits on CP London Advisory Board. According to the BBC he does this in his private time. This response just happens to be in line with written guidance from CP to organisations trying to prevent them from revealing CP documentation. The BBC admits that it has spent £47,260 with CP, and this is taxpayers money. Yet we are to believe that all their employees work for CP in their private time. Why is the BBC so shy of sharing the detailed information of their relationship with CP?
